Dorothy Nell Guest Standish

STANDISH - Dorothy Nell Guest Standish, 87, passed away on October 3, 2009. A long time resident of Albuquerque, Dorothy was born March 13, 1922, in Bard, NM, and raised on a farm in the Porter and San Jon community. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Emma Guest; her husband, Tony Standish; her son, Samuel W. Mitchell; and grandson Kevin Mitchell. She is survived by her son John C. Mitchell and his wife, Tracey, of San Antonio, TX; and three grandsons, Brian Mitchell and his wife, Suzi, of New Braunfels, TX, Jason Mitchell and his wife Katie, of Norfolk, VA, and Kurt Mitchell, of St. George, UT. Dorothy traveled throughout the world and relished telling of her many exciting memories. She enjoyed her many years as an Eastern Star member where she established many friendships. She was also heavily involved with her San Jon graduating class and was a guiding force in organizing their many reunions over the last 40 years. Dorothy will be interred at San Jon, NM cemetery.
