Douglas F. Yazzie died June 25, 2011 in Ganado, Arizona. He was born October 3, 1968 in Apple Valley, California. Yazzie was born into the Bitterwater Clan and born for the Edgewater Clan. Yazzie graduated from Cornfields Christian Day School, Fort Lewis College, and NPC. He was employed in the housing and highway construction industry. Yazzie proudly served his country in the Gulf War and in Desert Storm with the United States Marine Corps. Yazzie was a decorated Field Radio Operator, receiving several combat medals, badges, and meritorious citations. Yazzie was received an Honorable Discharge, as a Lance Corporal, after serving his country from 1987 to 1991. Yazzie enjoyed spending time with his daughters, nephews and nieces. He loved to joke around and he will be greatly missed. Survivors include his wife, Sara Mose; daughters, Sierra Yazzie, Kristin Yazzie, Monique Mose; parents, Danny Yazzie Sr., Emily B. Murray; brothers, Danny Yazzie Jr., Emmanuel Yazzie; sisters, Cecelia Stewart, Gennie Yazzie, Bernadette King; grandmother, Emma Joe; and his two grandchildren. Yazzie is preceded in death by his grandfather John Joe; Benjamin and Virginia Bahe; and his brother, Christopher Yazzie. Pallbearers will be Jared Tom, Nigel Yesslith, David Jackson, Lawrence Littleman, John Johns III and Kyle Miller. Arrangements are entrusted to: Tse Bonito Mortuary
