Doyle Linden Dunkin

Dunkin, Doyle Linden Age 90, passed away Tuesday, February 26, 2013. He was born February 21, 1923 on a farm near Gravity, Iowa to Carl Emanuel and Bina Ferne (Akers) Dunkin, both deceased. Doyle is survived by his wife of 25 years Virginia; two sisters, Jean Marie Roeder and Lois D. Novak; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was a WWII veteran of the Army where he received a Purple Heart. Doyle was active with the Masonic Lodge and Scottish Rite for over 61 years. Doyle was also a life time member of the VFW, American Legion, D.A.V.and other Veteran groups. He worked 31 years as a Civil Engineer for the Bureau of Indian Affairs and the Department of Transportation. Doyle retired in 1975 and enjoyed the many associates and friends he came to know all across the United States. In lieu of flowers donations may be given in Doyle's honor to any Masonic or Military service groups or a charity of your choice. A private service will be held with interment to take place at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
