Paschke, Dr. Donald V. "Don", age 89, passed away Saturday, December 15, 2018. He was born in Menominee, MI on October 22, 1929, to Leo F. Paschke and Augusta O. Fritz.
Donald served in the Army as a Corporal from May 1951 till May 1953. He attended the University of Illinois receiving his Bachelors in Music Education and Masters in Vocal Performance. Donald received his Doctorate in Music at the University of Colorado in Vocal Performance and Pedagogy. From 1958-1962 Donald was an instructor in Music for Berea College in Kentucky; From 1962-1994 he was a Music Professor at Eastern New Mexico University.
Donald directed church choirs for 40 years. He was a member of Phi Mu Alpha (National Professional Music Fraternity); Phi Kappa Phi (National All-Discipline Honor Society); Pi Kappa Lambda (National Music Honor Society); and National Association of Teachers of Singing (Professional Organization).
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Helen; parents, Leo and Agusta Paschke.
Donald is survived by his son, David (Barbara) Paschke; daughter, Celeste (Bernard) Deppmeier; grandchildren, Daniel, Rebekah, Kaitlyn, and Jacklyn.
In lieu of flowers donations may be given in Donald's honor to Helen and Don Paschke Scholarship at Eastern New Mexico University
