Col. Frederic M. Brown, USAF (Ret), age 75, passed away Thursday, November 5, 2015 at his home.
Dr. Brown is survived by his wife, Karen, of 52 years; two daughters, Pam Turner of Texas, and Deborah Breikss and husband Juris of Colorado. He also leaves behind five grandchildren, Mark and Anna Turner, Evan, Hailey and Bethany Breikss; sister, Marcia Cunningham and husband Patrick of Minnesota; brother, Lewis Brown and wife Felicia of California.
Dr. Brown was born and raised in Minneapolis, MN attending medical school at the University of Minnesota and internship in Duluth. He then served in the military for 22 years as an accomplished Physician and Flight Surgeon. He completed an Aerospace Medicine residency while in the military. The discipline and patriotism he learned in the Air Force never left him, as friends and family will attest.
His passion for airplanes was his inspiration to stay in the Air Force. Skiing, hunting and fishing were some of his favorite sports. He loved the outdoors. One of his outreaches was the Albuquerque Chapter, Military Officers Association of America (MOAA).
Memorial Services will be held on Thursday, November 12, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. at Prince of Peace Catholic Community with Reception following Service. Inurnment to follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery with full Military Honors.
