Duffy George Scarborough

SCARBOROUGH - George H. Scarborough, 64, passed away on Sunday, February 6, 2011 at his home in Socorro, NM. "Duffy" as he was affectionately known, was born on July 5, 1946 in Hot Springs, NM to Aaron Kent and Ester Elizabeth (Crawford) Scarborough. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Barbara (Chavez) Scarborough; his mother, Ester Elizabeth Scarborough; his devoted son, Kip Scarborough (Andrea); his loving daughters, Kristol Baca (Sylfred); and Kayla Scarborough (Alex); his daughter-in-law, Genevieve Scarborough; his grandchildren, Chris III (Melissa); Candace (Eric); Kip Jr. (Jackie); Kortnee; Dru; George; and Alexandru; his great grandchildren, Chris IV; Cenyon; and Cruz; his brother, Leonard and wife, Johnny; and many nieces and nephews. Duffy was a lifelong resident of Socorro. He was a Jack of all trades and a hard working man. A Man of Strong hands but a gentle touch, he loved and adored his wife, his children, his grandchildren, and his entire family. Duffy touched the lives of many people; he was a mentor with family values always at heart. His family found support from him in so many ways whether it was a tee ball game, a boxing match, or just in a casual conversation, the love that he showed through his blue eyes always embraced and sheltered them. Duffy was preceded in death by his father, his brother, A. G. Scarborough, and his son, Chris H. Scarborough Jr. Graveside Funeral Services and Interment will be held on Thursday, February 10, 2011 at 11:00 A.M.in the Lemitar Cemetery. Pallbearers are Leonard Scarborough, Kip Scarborough, Chris Scarborough III, Kip Scarborough Jr., Scott Scarborough, and Alex Rivera.
