Dwight Duane Cole

January 4, 1953 — November 30, 2010

Dwight Duane Cole January 4, 1953 - November 30, 2010 Dwight Duane Cole was born in Helena, Montana and moved to New Mexico with his family, settling in Farmington. Dwight had a love of sports and the outdoors. He was an avid baseball player from Little League through High School, where he helped the Farmington Scorpions win the State championship in 1969 and 1970. Dwight (Dewey) took great joy in camping, hunting, fishing and horseback riding. Most of all, he loved being a father, a son, a brother and an uncle in a large family. He is preceded in death by his father, Duane Cole, and his brother, Bradley Cole. He is survived by his daughter, Lisa Cole of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; mother, Juliann Cole of Farmington; sisters: Kathi (Craig) Foutz, Farmington; Karen (Jim) Birdsill, Glendale, AZ; Kristi (Jeff) Rowland, San Diego, CA; Robin (David) Kvech, Rio Rancho, NM; Gina (David) Fass, Centerville, OH; brothers: Randy (Rose Marie) Cole, Farmington, and Scott Cole of Chama, NM. Dewey is also survived by 16 nieces and nephews and two great-nephews. The family extends a special thank you to Mike Ryan for his unwavering friendship with Dewey over the years and for the support he has provided the family. They are also grateful to the Hilton Family for the joy they brought Dwight, and to the Cedar Ridge Inn staff for the wonderful care and compassion they gave Dwight. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer a memorial to a favorite charity or to an account set up in Dwight's name at Citizens Bank to benefit the residents of Cedar Ridge Inn. Arrangements are with Daniels Family Funeral Services, 804 N. Dustin Ave., Farmington, New Mexico 87401 (505) 326-3671
