Age 94, passed away peacefully Monday, June 26, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on July 3, 1922, in Imperial, NE to John and Alta Fox Martin. At an early age, Earl and his family moved to Craig, CO where he attended school up to the 8th grade. He later enlisted in the United States Army where he proudly served during WWII. After being honorably discharged, Earl returned to working on the family ranch in Colorado. While attending a town dance, Earl met LaVeta and in 1951 the two were married, and have share 65 beautiful years together. In 2004, through the VFW which honored veterans who had not finished school, Earl received his high school diploma. In 2007, Earl and LaVeta moved to San Acacia, NM where he has farmed and ranched ever since. He enjoyed hunting for arrow heads and grindstone. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandchildren, Florence Martin and Frances J. Martin; brothers, Elvin Martin, Wayne Martin, Harvey Martin and Lyle Martin; and sister, Erma Culverwell. Earl is survived by his loving and devoted wife, LaVeta Martin; children, Ester (John) Clark, Edith Davis and  Lawrence (Darice) Martin; grandchildren, Nancy Hoffman, Selena Clark, Earl (Kelly) Martin and Forrest Martin; great-grandchildren, Kacidia Hoffman, Raelee Martin and Elden Martin; and sister, Dorothy Pastine. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 1, 2017 at 10:30 AM at Green Acres, Alamillo, NM.
