Philpot, Earl W. Jr. Earl W. Philpot Jr. passed away on May 31, 2014 at University of New Mexico Hospital. Earl was the son of Edna and Earl W. Philpot Sr. and born in Montgomery, Alabama on November 5, 1928. Earl is survived by his three children Edward, Helen and Dana (Dan), from his first marriage to Florence B. Philpot who passed away in 1978. He is survived by his wife Brenda Philpot, who he married in 1989. Earl has one brother Edward V. Philpot. Earl lived a colorful life, first working the family�s movie theatre in West Blocton, Alabama. He then joined the Air Force and served 23 years as an aerial photographer and pilot. He flew with the Air Force Thunderbirds as their aerial photographer and was a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam wars. Earl was an entrepreneur, business owner, a news reporter for several of the New Mexico TV Stations, a Deputy Sheriff for Bernalillo County and worked as a Private Investigator until he retired in his 70�s. He loved country western music, wrote and played many of his own songs with the family band. He loved to bowl, eat a good buffet, joke and had a great sense of humor. Earl was a loving father, devoted husband, and a true American hero and patriot. His love, happiness and friendly smile will be truly missed by his family and friends.
