Edward J. Flynn

November 12, 1941 — March 10, 2014

Edward Flynn, 72, passed away on March 10, 2014. He was born November 12, 1941, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Ed is survived by his wife Diane, children: Kelly, Daniel and his wife Lisa, and Denise, grandchildren: Destiny and her husband Carlos, Brianna, Kayleen, David, Kelsey, and Jaden, great-grandchildren: Brooklyn, Bianca, Gabriel, Mason, Brailynn, and Neveah. One of 15 children, Ed has 6 living siblings: Annamay Libutti , Catherine Creadon, Robert Flynn, Dolores Orechowski, Patricia Boez, and Marie Artuso. Born and raised in Philadelphia, Edward (Duker) Flynn was a man of many passions and occupations. While visiting New Mexico in the mid 1980s to assist Annamay, he fell in love with the Land of Enchantment and never went back to Philadelphia to live, only to visit. He loved the open spaces and wonderful sky. He will be a dearly missed loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather (Poppi). Although sad at our loss, the family knows that Ed has gone to the Father in heaven and is at peace. The littlest ones know that Poppi is watching over them from heaven. There will be a small memorial service at the family home on March 22, 2014 between noon and 4 PM. A short welcome and prayers, followed by sharing memories and comments at a family-friendly Irish wake, ending with a small formal service at 330 PM. Appetizers and beverages provided. Please come any time between 12 and 4 to visit with the family. You are welcome to attend the memorial and the wake, just the memorial, or just the wake.
