Eddie- 67, peacefully left his earthly journey on June 18th 2017. He was born in Portales, New Mexico and lived in Rio Rancho most of his life. He was an avid outdoors man, hunter, fisherman, and a proud veteran. He was known by many for his cooking and his expertise in barbecuing. He retired from PNM with 34 years of service in 2015. He honorably served his country during the Vietnam war in the United States Armed Forces.
He is survived by his children, Nichole, Kristopher and wife Jennifer, his grandchildren, Gabriel and Kristian. Siblings, Magin and Marie Guiterrez, Alice Manzanares, Bertha Martinez, Connie Larranaga, Robert and Olivia Montano. He will be missed and was loved by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was pre-deceased by his parents, Tomas and Cesaria “Lala” Montano and a baby brother Orlando.
Eddie will be dearly missed for we know he is in heaven rejoicing with all the heavenly hosts. We know he is in peace, healed and never to hurt again. Until we meet again you will forever be in our hearts, never to be forgotten and forever loved. May you rest peacefully.

Service will be held on Friday, July 7, 2017, 10:00 am, at Sagebrush Community Church, 6440 Coors Blvd NW, Albuquerque, NM . Inurnment will be held on Monday, July 10, 2017 at 2:15pm at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
