Edwardo Gregorio Montoya

Edwardo Gregorio Montoya, 81, of Farmington, passed away Thursday, May 21, 2009 in Farmington. Eddie, as he was known by friends and family, was born in Gobernador in 1927. In 2nd grade he was taken out of school to help raise his brothers and sisters when his Mother fell ill. From that time forward he has lived a life of hard work and dedication to his family. He has eight children, 27 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and some chapters haven't been written yet! Friends and extended family are too numerous to mention, but we have appreciated and have felt the many heartfelt prayers, well wishes and expressions of sympathy. If you have been touched by this very special man, we welcome you to join us in the celebration of his life. Eddie is survived by his wife, Sally Montoya, sons, Danny (Etta), Fernando (Roberta), Merale, Sheldon (Stephanie), Clifford (Vangie), Rodney (Pearl) and daughters Yolanda (Alan) and Audrey (Robert), and a sister, Mary Montoya. Also surviving are 27 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by Fidel, Arsenio, Ramon, Leandro, Seledon and Manuel and his parents. Pallbearers will be Michael Green, Ryan Wilcox, Micah Montoya, Edwardo Montoya, Joshua Montoya and Paul Lovato. Honorary Pallbearers will be Daniel Montoya, Jr., Darrell Montoya, Matt Montoya, Robbie Wilcox, Adam Montoya, Zachery Montoya, Elijah Miera, Jimmy Montoya, Isaac Montoya, Daniel Montoya, and Gabriel Montoya The Montoya family would like to say Thank You to San Juan Regional Staff and Life Care Staff.
