Dr. Edwin J.Weber, age 91, died on January 29, 2016. He was born on October 18, 1924, to Edwin and Rose Weber in Petroskey, MI. He is survived by his wife, Gloria; two sons, Mark Weber and wife, Patti and David Weber of Albuquerque; two daughters, Heidi and husband, James Beakley of Albuquerque and Robin and husband, Chris Telfer of Edgewood, NM; 12 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren; brother Jack Weber and wife Beverly of Harbor Springs, MI. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Wendy and his parents.
Dr. Weber was a WWII veteran serving in the Army Air Corps in the European Theater of Operations. He was a graduate of Ferris State University (BS), Columbia University (MA), and received his PhD from the University of Michigan in 1970. Dr. Weber served on the faculties of the University of Michigan in 1970. He also served on the faculties of Wayne State University (MI), the University of Northern Iowa, and the University of New Mexico which he retired from in 1990. Cremation has taken place and a private committal service will be held at a later date. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to Faith Lutheran Church, 10,000 Spain Road NE, Albuquerque, NM 87111.
