Elaine Mary Ann Cope

COPE, ELAINE MARYANN Elaine Maryann Cope passed away on October 13, 2009 at the age of 79. Born in Dodge City, Kansas to John Koppers and Viola (Stein) Koppers. She grew up in Fowler, Kansas and upon graduating high school, Elaine went to a Catholic Nursing School in Hollstead, Kansas. In 1954 was wed to Jesse. R. Cope. They were married for more than 25 years until he passed away in 1980. They had three daughters; Rhonda Fisher, Laura Fatemi and husband Ali, Suzette Beck and husband David. Elaine was the proud grandmother of four; Marie Jordan, Farrah Fatemi, Michael and John Fisher and also great-grandchildren to Zackery and Jacob Jordan. Elaine death was preceded by her parents John and Viola Koppers, son-in-law Pat Fisher and grandson, Daniel Beck. As a nurse, Elaine was very caring and nurturing and strong willed. She also brought a sense of humor to her work and life. Elaine retired from Lovelace after 30 years in 1995. In her spare time she enjoyed quilting, bridge and reading.
