Eleanor Barela

BARELA - Eleanor Barela, age 91, beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend, went to be with the Lord, Monday, June 27, 2011. She was born in Albuquerque, NM and was a resident of Rio Rancho, NM. She was preceded in death by her husband Frank Barela. Eleanor is survived by her loving children, Frank Barela and wife Trinney, John Barela and wife Linda, Angelo Barela and companion Michael DeSantis; her grandchildren, Scott, Aaron, Alicia, Michael, Rudy, Jennifer and husband Michael King; her great-grandchildren, Christian, Tony, Kennady, Chandler, Osiris, Niles, Drake, Kaden, Henry, Charlie and Maggie. Also surviving are her sisters, Helen Chavez and Rose C. Dunsworth; family friends, Tommie and Pete Jaramillo; numerous relatives and friends. Eleanor will be greatly missed by all. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, June 30, 2011 at Church of the Incarnation at 10:00 a.m. Inurnment will take place Thursday, July 7, 2011 at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 11:15 a.m. At the family’s request, in lieu of flowers Memorial Contributions may be made to The Church of the Incarnation, 2309 Monterrey Rd.
