Eleanor Bannon Bennett, 88, of Farmington passed away Sunday, October 23, 2011 in Farmington. Birthplace: Trenton, NJ

Biography: Eleanor graduated from the School of Industrial Arts which became Trenton Junior College (NJ). She taught Art classes for many years in the Trenton area and was a member of the Morrisville/Trenton Art Group. She had many solo art shows during the 50s and 60s. In 1966, she moved to Sea Girt, NJ where she lived with her family for 40 years. While in Sea Girt, Eleanor worked as a bookkeeper for the MCOSS Thrift Shop, was a member of the Sea Girt Board of Adjustment, was a Trustee of the Sea Girt Lighthouse, member of St. Mark��?�s Altar Rosary, and the Sea Girt Women��?�s Club. Eleanor helped organize bridge flights for those organizations.
In 2006, Eleanor moved to Farmington, NM to be close to her daughter and family. She became involved in many activities and played duplicate bridge at San Juan College every Friday and Monday evening. She also played bridge at the Bonnie Dallas Senior Center and took many art classes at San Juan College. Most recently she enjoyed taking pottery and working with glass. Eleanor was also an avid crossword enthusiast and enjoyed knitting, and crocheting. She was also member of the Four Corners Federated Republican Women.
Preceded in death by her husband Richard "Dick Bennett, her parents, her brother Donald Bannon, and her sister Mary Elder. She is survived by her daughter Sally Bramhall, her son-in-law David Bramhall and her grandson Richard Bramhall, all of Farmington. Eleanor is also survived by her brother-in-law Edward Bennett and his wife Nancy. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews as well as their children.
Services: There will not be local services but a private memorial in New Jersey in December.
