Eleanor "Nora" Gutierrez

Eleanor "Nora" Gutierrez, age 91, beloved and devoted mother and  grandmother, passed away peacefully, Friday, March 25, 2016, while surrounded by her loving family.  She was born in Alameda, NM and was a resident of Bernalillo, New Mexico, where she was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church.  Nora's hobbies included gardening, sewing, cooking, crocheting, knitting, and loved working on puzzles.  Nora retired from Levi Strauss after 25 years of service.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alberto and Angelica Griego; her husband, Antonio "Tony" Gutierrez, Sr.; and daughter, Nancy Rose Gonzales.

Nora is survived by her loving children, Clarence Griego and wife Sandra, Eddie D. Gutierrez and wife Dolores, Tony Gutierrez, Jr., Lorraine Lucero and husband Charlie, Victoria Martinez and husband Martin; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and many more relatives and friends.  Nora will be greatly missed by her loving family and by those whose lives she touched.

A Rosary will be recited Friday, April 1, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 301 Camino del Pueblo, Bernalillo, NM, where the Mass of Christian will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m.  A private Inurnment will take place at a later date.
