Eleanor Judy died June 23, 2011, in Tuba City. She was born on march 23, 1919, in Low Mountain. Judy was born into the Zuni Red Running Into the Water People Clan and born the the Towering House People Clan. Judy was a well known weaver to the Sedona rug galleries. She expressed her artistic personality through weaving and creating plastic canvas crafts. She was an active memeber of the Senior Center program of the Chinle Agency. Judy was a loving grandmother who made rugs for grandchildren who graduated from school. She won 1st place in wool spinning and fry bread making at previous Navajo Nation fairs. Survivors include her son, Michael Judy; daughters, Clara Judy, Berdina Tom, Beulah Judy, Sara Castillo; and her many grandchildren. Judy was preceded in death by Gibson Judy, Eddie Judy, Esther Tsosie, Ned Castillo Jr., and Jason Judy. Pallbearers will be JayCee Judy, Larry Blackmountain, Jakeson J. Bahe, Vyronn J. Bahe, Daryl Yazzie, Guy Tsosie Jr. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Bahe residence, Smoke Signals, following services.
