Elias Otero

Elias, 24, passed away on Thursday February 11, 2021.

Elias was born in Albuquerque, NM on November 19, 1996. He is survived by his mother and father Luiz and Alicia Otero; brothers, Jacob and Nicholas Otero; sisters, Delilah Otero and Aliyah Barela. His grandparents John and Doris Garcia; Rita Otero-Rodriguez. Aunt and Uncles: Gilbert Garcia (Ana), John Garcia Jr., Robert Otero (Crystal), Chris Otero (Josette), Paul Otero (Dora), Michael Otero and Andrea Cordova (Jeff). Many other aunts, uncles and cousins that loved him so very much. He was preceded in death by his grandfather Benny Otero and Uncle Phillip Patrick Perez.

Elias was loved by many, had a great sense of humor and was always trying to get others to laugh. He was a brave and strong, graduated from the Department of Corrections and became a corrections officer for the Metropolitan Detention Center. Elias was always the voice of reason. Elias was always protective of his brothers. Elias’s favorite color was red and black.

A Rosary will be recited at 10:30 a.m. and the Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. at St Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church, 5712 Paradise Blvd NW, Albuquerque, NM 87114.
