Elijah K. Wallace. 83, of Aztec died on Thursday, Feb. 17, 2011 in Farmington. He was born July 20, 1927 in Millsap, TX. to Elijah S. and Maude Wallace. Elijah served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and Korean Wars. He was a lifetime member of Tucumcari Lodge #27, A.F & A.M. He Graduated from Tucumcari High School and NM State University. He retired after 30 years with Farmers Home Administration. Elijah was a member of the First Baptist Church of Aztec He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Betty L. Wallace; son, Mark A Wallace; and sister, Olivia Hamilton. He is survived by his daughters, Kay Miles (Bill) of Payson, AZ, Nancy Crowley (Paul) of Merritt Island, FL.; his son, Steve Wallace (Peggy) of Aztec, NM.; six grandchildren; and fourteen great grandchildren. Pallbearers are Daniel Wallace, Cruz Anderson, Jason Wallace and William Miles. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Elijah’s name to the American Diabetes Association.
