Farmington, NM Eliot O��?�Brien, 63 passed from this life on August 20, 2011 in Farmington, NM. He was born November 29, 1947 to Lincoln O��?�Brien and Frances Torka (Eliot) in Boston, Massachusetts. Mr. O��?�Brien graduated from Farmington High School in 1966 and went on to the College of Artesia where he graduated in 1970 with a Bachelor��?�s degree in History. He worked as an advertising manager for newspapers throughout the country in Boulder, CO., Gallup, NM, San Leandro, CA; Ukiah, CA; and Farmington, NM eventually working his way up to Publisher. Eliot held membership with the Farmington Rotary Club, San Juan Country Club and the Four Corners Chess Club. He enjoyed playing chess in numerous local, state, national and world tournaments. Other hobbies included cooking and traveling. He entered full-time ministry in 1998 with his wife, Nedra and founded the City of Refuge House of Prayer in Farmington in January, 2010. Eliot was preceded in death by his wife, Nedra Lynn Shupe O��?�Brien; parents, Lincoln O��?�Brien and Frances Torka (Eliot) O��?�Brien; and brother, Lincoln O��?�Brien, Jr. He is survived by his son, Cody Eliot O��?�Brien and wife, Jasmin; daughter, Rhiannon (O��?�Brien) Taylor and husband, Aaron; sister, Susan Poet; as well as three grandchildren, Cole O��?�Brien; Isaac Taylor and Christian Taylor. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, August 28, 2011 at the World Harvest Center, 1024 N. Butler Avenue, Farmington, NM with Pastor Ken Gonzales officiating. A reception will immediately follow the service. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Lincoln O��?�Brien Endowment at San Juan College Foundation, 4601 College Blvd., Farmington, NM 87402.
