Elise Joy Bowman

Elise Joy Bowman, aged 35, was called to her eternal rest on March 14, 2024, in Albuquerque, NM. Born in Shiprock, NM, on August 27, 1988, Elise walked through life with humility, gratitude, and an abiding respect for all creation.

Her life was a living testament to the virtues she embodied—joy, peace, generosity, and courage. Elise lived thriftily, not merely in her means but in her abundant giving, sharing her blessings with those around her. She welcomed everyone with open arms, reflecting a heart full of grace and compassion.

A lover of God's handiwork, Elise found solace in embracing nature, whether it was painting flowers touched by the divine, spending cherished moments with her children, enjoying the harmony of live music, or fishing in the quiet company of her beloved father. Her laughter and gentle spirit were like a beacon of light in the lives of her loved ones.

She is survived by her children, Emmalee Bowman-Anderson and Andrew S. Anderson; her mother, Karen Tapia, step-father Antonio Tapia, sisters Deidre Gabaldon and Alayna Bowman, brothers Samuel N. Bowman, Michael Gabaldon, and Zacaria Abad; and her cherished nieces Jenessa Gabaldon and Ramona Bowman-Abad, and nephews Andrew D. Gabaldon and Leonidas Bowman-Abad. Elise was greeted in Heaven by her father, Alan Samuel Bowman, grandmother Ramona Reeves McKenzie, and grandfather David McKenzie who preceded her in death.
