Elizabeth Valverde Loya

Loya, Elizabeth Valverde Elizabeth Valverde Loya, beloved mother, sister, and auntie, passed away at age 63 on August 19, 2014 in the family home in Ponderosa, New Mexico. She was surrounded by family and friends following a battle with cancer. She was a lifelong resident of Ponderosa and a member of the Santo Toribio Catholic Church. She enjoyed watching soap operas and sitcoms on TV Land. She also enjoyed watching Western Movies. She enjoyed wearing jewelry, dancing to her favorite Spanish music, and cooking red chile and sopapillas. She loved visiting with friends on her cell phone. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Amalia Valverde and a sister Jeanette Valverde. She is survived by her son John Andrew Loya and his daughters Kianna Loya, Natalie Littauer, and Alexa Loya; her sisters Frances Strain from Canon, NM, Rosalie Niebes and husband Neil from Albuquerque, and brother John Valverde and partner Shirley from Rio Rancho; plus nieces and nephews: Jenette Heinsen, Laura Perea, Lynette Manzanares, Robert Bottomley, and Kevin Bottomley. A Rosary will be recited on Saturday, August 30, 2014 at 10:00 AM at Santo Toribio Catholic Church in Ponderosa, NM, followed immediately by the Funeral Mass. Pall Bearers: Lalo Guzman, Steve Jaramillo, Robert Jaramillo, and Ryan Romero. Honorary Pall Bearers: Robert Bottomley, Kevin Bottomley, Leandro Romero, and Isiah Varela. Internment will follow at a later date in a private family ceremony. Friends are cordially invited to join the family at the Ponderosa Community Center following the mass to celebrate Elizabeth�s life.
