Elizabeth G. Massaro

Massaro, Elizabeth G. Age 88, passed away Tuesday, July 8, 2014 after a brief illness. She was born March 29, 1926 to Frederick and Elizabeth LaZar in Brooklyn, NY. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Jack Massaro; son, John Scott. She is survived by her five daughters; Jacque Boothe (Mike), and Betty Vargas (Henry) of Rio Rancho, Pat Sigler, and Bonnie Micciche (John) of Long Island, NY, Peggy Spaulding (Claude) of Vermont; sister, Anne LaZar of Rio Rancho; 11 grandchildren, Beth, Eric, Christopher, Tara, Jason, Lindsay, Keith, Emily, Jake, Mark and Vanessa; six great-grandchildren, Marlei, Madison, Finnley, Abigail, Tristan and Dane; along with extended family members. She grew up in NYC, became a fashion model then a full time mother to six children in Massapequa, NY. Later retired to Rio Rancho, NM in 1974. She was a member of the St. Thomas Aquinas Altar and Rosary Society. Her children and grandchildren were the focus of her life. A visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm with the recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 pm, Thursday, July 10, 2014 at Daniels Family Funeral Services, 4310 Sara Road, Sara Chapel, Rio Rancho, NM. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am, Friday, July 11, 2014 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 1502 Sara Road SE, Rio Rancho, NM.
