Ella Ann Spargo, 92, of Aztec, died on Friday, Feb. 11, 2011, in Farmington. She was born Nov. 24, 1918, in Aztec, to Charles W. Maddox and Dora B. Maddox. Ella was a lifelong resident of Aztec, except for two years during World War II, when she went to California to support the war effort as a "Rosie the Riveter." She was an active member of the Aztec Presbyterian Church and The Order of the Eastern Star. She loved gardening, wildlife and spending time in the hills. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Chuck Spargo; son, Bill Spargo; and her daughter, Katie Lanier. She is survived by her daughter, Marian Davenport; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Dwain Depew will officiate. Ella is entrusted to: Cope Memorial Chapel
