Ellen R. Hogue

Hogue, Ellen R. Ellen Ruth Daly Hogue, 91, passed away peacefully on March 27, 2013. She was born October 15, 1921 in Duluth, Minnesota. She was preceded in death by her husband, John T. Hogue; son Richard H. Hogue; parents, Matthew and Hattie Daly; brothers, Gene, Richard and Jim Daly and her sister Amy Ayer. She is survived by her daughter, Lori Truster and husband, Mathew; son, Thomas Hogue and wife, Lori; four grandchildren, Michael, Nicholas, Melissa and Thomas Hogue and several nieces and nephews. She served proudly as a Navy WAVE in WWII. She was one of the five founding members of the NM Chapter of Roadrunner Unit of WAVES National. She was a member of Carlisle Plaza United Methodist Church and a lifelong member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Santa Fe and Desert Rose Chapters. Services will be held at Daniels Family Funeral Services Carlisle Chapel on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Cheri Lyon presiding. Final Inurnment will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at 11:15 a.m. The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to Mary at Lovelace Westside ICU and to everyone at Vista Care Hospice for the exceptional, wonderful care and compassion you gave our mom in her final days.
