Emerson Ernest Skeets

Emerson Ernest Skeets, age 101, passed away Thursday, August 13, 2020. He was born in Two Wells, NM on April 15, 1919, to Tom and Ahlkitasba Skeets. He served our country in the United States Army. He married the love of his life, Laura Benally on July 2, 1942 in Crownpoint, New Mexico. Emerson worked for thirty years for Belke Manufacturing. He was a member of Fellowship C.R. He loved watching baseball games, especially his beloved Cubs.

He was preceded in death by his parents Tom and Ahlkitasba Skeets; his wife, Laura Benally Skeets; his son's Edward and James; and daughter, Irene. 

Emerson is survived by his son, Samuel of Rio Rancho, NM; his daughter, Marie of Addison, IL; his son Roy of Jamestown, NM; his daughter, Laurien Skeets of Rio Rancho, NM; his daughter, Martha of Chicago, IL; and his son, Andrew of Rio Rancho, NM; 23 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.

Visitation will be held Thursday, August 20, 2020,  from 9am-10am at Daniels Family Funeral Services- at Sarah Chapel - 4310 Sara Rd. SE, Rio Rancho, NM 87124.

Service will be held on Thursday, August 20, 2020, at 10am, Daniels Family Funeral Services- at Sarah Chapel. 
Interment to follow at, Vista Verde Park.
