Emilia Castillo Boehler

Boehler, Emilia Castillo Beloved daughter, sister, aunt, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away on June 13, 2014. She was preceded in death by her parents, Solomon and Cecilia Vallejos and Jose and Sophia Castillo, sister, Nina Vialpando, and brothers-in-law Fred Luna and Tony Vialpando. Emilia is survived by her husband of 55 years, John Boehler; sisters, Consuelo Luna, Nathalie Gallagher and husband William Gallagher, children, Mary Ann Boehler, Patricia Maestas and husband Racey, Charles Boehler and wife Diane, Richard Boehler and wife Michelle; grandchildren, Ben Dackiewicz and wife Vanessa, Paul Dackiewicz and wife Lacee, Jackie Loftus and husband James, Robert Maestas, Kathryn Asplund and husband Michael, Nicole Maas; great-grandchildren Madilyn, Elijah, Emilee, Mackenzie, Samuel, Noah, Austin, Adam, Xavier and many nieces and nephews. Emilia was born and grew up in Los Lunas then moved to Albuquerque as a young adult where she lived the rest of her life. She was devoted to her family and was an avid gardener, making many friends as she shared her love of gardens and flowers. Emilia also enjoyed helping to clothe the homeless and was always happy to share her many gifts and talents. Services will be held at San Clemente Catholic Church, 244 Luna Ave NE, Los Lunas at 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 20, 2014. Burial will follow at the San Clemente Catholic Cemetery, 137 Chavez Lane, Los Lunas. In memory of Emilia�s generous heart, the family asks that donations be made to the charity of your choice.
