Age 83, passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2016. She was born in Bosque, New Mexico on November 11, 1932, the daughter of Melquides and Emilia (Raes) Lovato . Emily is remembered as a spicy, saucy, Spanish woman with a lot of spunk. She was a proud and independent lady. She was the kind of person who would "speak her mind". Emily spent most of her life in the Albuquerque metro area and was a devoted Broncos fan who loved music and the movie "Dirty Dancing". She was preceded in death by her son, Matthew Minns. Emily is survived by her children, Jim Minns and wife Christine, Charles Minns, Emily Douglas and husband Jon, Cindy Sullivan and husband Don; 9 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; sister, Molly Gonzales and brother, Nash Lovato. Visitation will be held Thursday, May 26, 2016 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at Sara Rd. Chapel. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00pm  on Thursday, May 26, 2016. Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated on Friday, May 26, 2016 at 10:30am with interment to follow at Vista Verde Memorial Park 4310 Sara Rd.
