Enrique Chavez

Chavez, Enrique Age 84, passed away Saturday, January 19, 2013. He was born in Galisteo, NM on March 2, 1928, to Anselmo and Catalina (Madrid) Chavez. Enrique moved to Albuquerque when he was 18 years old. He worked for many years as a carpenter at the University of New Mexico. Enrique retired from the Carpenter�s Union Local # 1319. He was preceded in death by Robert Olivarez; three sister and four brothers. Enrique is survived by his loving wife of 48 years Viola; his children Tomasita Chavez, Rita Chavez, Gloria Chavez, Rosemary Herrera and husband Erwin and Ruth Thornton and husband Rodger; 14 grandchildren; sisters Connie Leyba and husband Tony, Juanita Chavez Roybal and husband Robert and many extended family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, January 25, 2013, 10:00 am, in the Strong-Thorne Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services, 1100 Coal Ave SE, Albuquerque.
