Ernest "Bud" Grady

It is with great sadness in our hearts to announce the pass​ing of Ernest O. "Bud" Grady. Bud passed away peacefully with family by his side on February 18, 2018. 

Born in Athens, Texas, Bud attended the University of Oregon, where he was a punter on the Oregon Duck football team. After college, Bud served his country in the United States Air Force.

Bud settled in New Mexico where his entrepreneurial spirit lead him to start Allstate Builders, a company that moved and built single family homes and portable buildings. 

After deciding retirement was not for him, he started building southwest style portable buildings, the first of their kind in New Mexico.

Bud found joy in helping others. He was especially proud of answering the call from his church to construct a new place of worship. 

He is survived by his wife, Linda; son, Shaun Grady; daughter, Heather Grady; daughter, Jennifer Jimenez and her husband, Chris; daughter Judy Rodgers and her husband, Jim; son, Scott Grady and his wife, Laura; Brother Gil Grady and his wife Beverly and multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held for close family and friends on March 3, 2018 at 2:00pm at Gospel Light Baptist Church, 1500 Southern Blvd SE, Rio Rancho, New Mexico 87124
