Ernest A. Martinez

MARTINEZ - Ernest A. Martinez, age 48, beloved father, grandfather, son, and brother, completed his journey on this earth and entered into Eternal Life with the Lord, Tuesday, January 4, 2011. He was born in Rawlins, WY, raised in Buena Vista, NM and was a resident of Las Vegas, NM. He was preceded in death by his mother, Alice Martinez; two brothers, Eddie and Lee Martinez; and sister, Claudia Martinez. Ernest is survived by his children, Julie Ann Martinez,Andrew Martinez and wife Tina, Danielle Romero and husband Chris; five grandchildren; his loving father, Ernest Martinez; his brothers and sisters, Ruth Ann Cordova and Jesse Lopez, Paul Martinez and wife Gerri, Barbara, Dean, Jerry, Gary, Debbie Martinez, and Pat Martinez and wife Georgia; and many other relatives and friends. Ernest will be greatly missed by all. Viewing will be Friday, January 7, 2011 from 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 403 Valencia Street, Las Vegas, NM, where a Rosary will be recited at 8:30 a.m. followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 a.m. Interment will be at the Santo Nino Cemetery in Buena Vista, NM. Casket Bearers will be Michael Marez, Julian Trujillo, Rudy Roybal, Jimmy Pino, Fred Lopez, and Stevie Martinez. Honorary Bearers will be Randolph Sandoval and Gary Pedigo.
