Ernestine Hamilton

Ernestine Hamilton, age 96, went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 8, 2024.  She was born at home in “Sandoval” Corrales, N.M, March 15, 1927. She was preceded in death by her parents, Esquipula and Pauline Armijo, husband of 66 years J.W. Hamilton, her son, Stanley, Hamilton, sister, Margaret Garcia, brother Randolph Armijo.  She is survived by her sister, Marie Archibeque, her sons, Louis Hamilton, and Mark Hamilton, daughter, Arleen Hamilton, grandchildren:  Gage Hamilton, Stacie Ferguson and Shana Hamilton as well as her great grandchildren:   Kaleyah, Braelyn, Zailey, and Paxton Ferguson and Aaliyah Sophia Julian.

Ernestine was a self-sufficient and strong lady. She never stopped praying for her family. She had a strong faith in God.  Mama’s favorite quote was  “to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.”   Her favorite song:   The Love of God ~ Rich and Pure.  She was greatly loved and a lifelong resident of Corrales New Mexico.

Services will be held at 10:30am Friday, January26, 2024 at Vision City Church Event Center. 1016 Rosarito Dr. S.E. Rio Rancho, NM 87124

 Graveside will be held at Vista Verde Memorial Park at 1:00pm.
