Ernesto Lopez went to his eternal rest in the company of angels on Sunday December 12th, 2021 at his home in Rio Rancho, New Mexico
Ernesto is the fifth son of nine children, he is the son of Pedro Lopez, & Albinita Martinez. Ernesto was born in Canjilon, New Mexico and served in the Armed Forces Branch of the United States Military. After his honorable discharge Ernesto met his wife Irene Lujan in 1971 in Espanola, New Mexico and later moved to Santa Fe, New Mexico where they raised their family.
Ernesto had strong values and work ethics; he was a proud family man; his priority was providing for his family and always being reliable to lend a helping hand. Ernesto enjoyed construction, fishing, camping, dancing, and family gatherings. Family and friends could always depend on Ernesto to put a smile on your face and make you laugh.
Ernesto is preceded in death by his beloved wife Irene Lopez, father and mother, Pedro Lopez and Albinita Martinez; brothers Alcadio Martinez and Jose Lopez along with many other family & friends.
He is survived by his children; Anthony Sena & Rita: Ronnie Lopez Sr.: Ernestine & Danny Apodaca: Renee Lopez: Cynthia Lopez; grandchildren Antonio Sena & Brittanie: Mishanda & Andrew Valdez: Ronnie Lopez Jr. & Brianna: Phylishia Velasquez & Paul: Monique Apodaca & Edward: Marissa Lopez & Dale: Destiny Benavidez: Danicia Apodaca & Steven: Cheyane Benavidez: Jose Apodaca: Samantha Lopez: Annalise Perea; great grandchildren; Santos Valdez, Neveah Lopez, Josiah Ortiz, Serenity Garcia, Milaya Valdez, Lanayah Ortiz, Zachariah Sena, Ezekiel Sena, Analiah Lopez, Lilliana Varela, Romeo Garcia, Arabella Ortiz & Angelo Garcia; Friend: Chonita Corona; brothers & sisters: Eva & the late Richard , Leroy & Clorinda, Amelia & Lib, Patsy & the late Lawrence, Pedro & Debbie, Irene & Mary, along with many other family & friends.
Services for Ernesto will be held on January 7th at 11:00 am to include a family visitation, followed by a Rosary Prayer to be recited, a celebration of life ritual, and burial with Military Salutes. The arrangement will all take place at Daniels Funeral Home and Vista Verde Memorial Park at 4310 Sara Rd Rio Rancho, NM 87124.
