Ernesto James Valencia, age 36, passed away March 25, 2020 in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. He was born to Ernie J. Valencia, Jr. and Veronica J. Montano on October 5, 1983, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He attended Sam Rayburn High School in Pasadena, Texas and University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) College. He attained his BSN degree in Nursing and was employed at University of New Mexico Sandoval Regional Hospital for the past year. He loved anime (hand drawn and computer animation), traveling, going to the movies, and playing with his cats (his special baby boys), Pai Mei and Chucky. Most of all, he loved his family and his friends. He was an amazing son, loving brother, uncle and friend.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ernie J. Valencia; grandparents, Josephine and Frank Montano, Erineo And Arabella Valencia, and uncle, Steve P. Montano.
Ernesto is survived by his mother, Veronica Montano; his fiance, Jennifer Harrison of Rio Rancho, NM; sisters, Desiree M. "Etch-a-sketch" Valencia of La Porte, TX, Di Andria J. Ford of League City, TX; brother, Andre J. Ford of La Porte, TX; nephew and godson, Julian "Peanutty" Valencia; niece and goddaughter, Amelia "Fat Girl" Davis; step-father, Andre Ford of San Antonio, TX; godparents, Paul and Julie Montano; uncle, Robert Montano; aunt Virginia Vasquez; cousins, Ashley Vasquez, Chris, Kirk, John, Michael, Felicia, Brian, and Marc Montano; his brothers from another mother, Pete and Lindsay Mendez, Toan Nguyen, Broderick "BJ" Scott, Danny Nunez, Josh and Brandon Bass, Surrey George, Brent Villa, Ruben Espinoza, Guy Nelson, Mingo Perez, Joshua Gould and Chris Hongsongkiat.
