age 67, a resident of Rio Rancho, passed away November 18, 2015 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Ernesto was born August 17, 1948 in Chihuahua, Mexico, the son of Defino and Guadalupe (Ortiz) Zamorano. Ernest grew up in El Paso, Texas and attended high school in El Paso until he entered the US Marine Corps during the Vietnam era. He was a very hardworking, organized and intelligent man. After serving his country, Ernesto worked as a systems analyst for General Motors until his retirement after thirty five and a half years. Following his retirement, Ernesto earned his degree in culinary arts. He loved to cook and entertain. He was a very giving and loving person. He will be greatly missed. Ernesto is survived by his two children; Ernie Zamorano, Amy Zamorano and her husband and his precious grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters and brothers; Lupe, Josie, Virginia, Julie, Hector, Henry and Delfino. Mass of the Resurrection was celebrated at San Antonio De Padua Catholic Church on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 and was followed by interment and military honors at Ft Bliss National Cemetery, both in El Paso, TX.
