Age 61, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 9, 2014 with family and friends by his side. Ernie was preceded in death by his father, Toby Lopez. He is survived by his mother, Amy Lopez; brother, James M. Lopez and his wife Sandra; two nephews, Adam M. Lopez and his wife Marisa, Jarod A. Lopez; great niece, Brianna Lopez; great nephew, Noah Lopez. Ernie graduated from Manzano High School in 1971. As most people knew, Ernie loved to play his guitar and also loved to play and sing with family and friends. He also loved the outdoors, camping, fishing, playing his guitar by the campfire, and throwing a big steak on the grill. Ernie will be missed by his family and friends and all those who's heart he touched with his music. At Ernie's request no services will be held.
