Estevan Jaramillo Chavez

Chavez, Estevan 56, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 21, 2012. He was born in Socorro, NM on March 12, 1956, to Leonardo and Antonia (Jaramillo) Chavez. He was a lifelong resident of Socorro and worked for the County of Socorro for 15 years. He was preceded in death by his grandson, George Gonzales Jr., his brother, Hector Chavez, and his parents. Estevan is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Jeanette (Silva) Chavez; his daughters, Antonia Gonzales and husband, George; Kathy Chavez and husband, Luciano Griego; and Edith Chavez; his sons, Steven Chavez Jr.; and Hector Chavez; his brothers, Tomas Chavez and wife, Mary; Placido Chavez and wife, Lorraine; his sisters: Dolores Baldonado and husband, Emiliano; Marylou Giron; Patricia Chavez; and Eloisa Chavez; his grandson, Serjio Galaviz; and his granddaughter, Marie Gonzales. AVisitation will take place Wednesday, October 24, 2012 from 2:00 pm-8:00 pm at Daniels Family Funeral Services - Socorro Chapel, 309 Garfield St, Socorro. A Holy Rosary will be recited on Thursday, October 25, 2012, at 9:30 am at the San Miguel Catholic Church, 403 El Camino Real , Socorro followed by a Mass of Resurrection which will be celebrated at 10:00 am with Father Flavio Santillanes as Celebrant. Interment will take place in the San Miguel Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers are Steven Chavez Jr., Hector Chavez, Tomas Chavez, Placido Chavez, Serjio Galaviz, Larry Silva, Pascual Giron and David Chavez.
