Esther R. Tapia

Esther R Tapia Loving wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend went home to be with our Lord and Savior Saturday, April 6, 2013 at the age of 88. She was born in Cerrillos, NM to Frank and Carlotta Martinez. Esther adored her family and loved spending time with them. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 71 years Miguel Tapia, Lisa McGinley, Virginia Gallegos, Richard Tapia, Charlie Tapia, Johnie Tapia, Bennie Tapia, Beatrice Corriz, Betalia, Billie Martinez; Esther is survived by her children Cruzita Tapia, Victoria Martinez, Charlotte and husband Richard Gonzales, Maria and husband David Campos, Nellie and husband Gilbert Artiaga, Chris Tapia, Oliver and wife Lucille Tapia, Randall and wife Terese Tapia and Anthony Tapia; 26 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren and numerous relatives and friends. Esther will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. A Visitation will take place at Garcia Mortuary ~ Chapel of Angels, Wednesday, April 10, 2013 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm followed by a reciting of the Rosary at 7:00 pm. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at Holy Family Church, 562 Atrisco Dr SW, Thursday, April 11, 2013 at 9:00 am; Interment will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
