Eufrasia "Flossy" Torres

Torres, Eufrasia 81, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 27, 2013 with her loving family by her side. She was born in Magdalena, NM on September 6, 1931 to Gregorio and Regina (Rodriguez) Valenzuela. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years, Tomas Torres in 2009, and her beloved grandson, Juan Pino Jr in 2008. Eufrasia was a lifelong resident of Magdalena. She worked at the Senior Center for about 15 years. She loved to dance and sing gospel music. She enjoyed reading her Bible and was a woman of great faith. She liked working crossword puzzles. In her younger years, Eufrasia enjoyed playing softball. Above anything else, Eufrasia could not be any happier than when she was with her family. Eufrasia is survived by her devoted children, Tommy Torres Jr and wife, Josephine; Richie Torres and wife, Mable; Randy Torres; Helen Baca and husband, Adolfo Sr; Maryann Lucero and husband, Robert Lee; Priscilla Pino and husband, Joseph; Rosemary Pino and husband Juan; Virginia Benavidez and husband, Mark; Regina Valencia and husband, Johnny; Diana Acosta and husband, Oscar; her loving grandchildren, Jennie Baca Saavedra, Lorie Padilla, Adolfo Baca Jr, Angel Monte, Randy Torres Jr, Ruben Torres, Michael Benavidez, Melissa Pino, Aaron Pino, Ernest Torres, Jason Benavidez, Esperanza Torres, Mark Benavidez Jr, Oscar Acosta Jr, Mayra Acosta, Shirley Torres, and Kendra Pino; 23 great great grandchildren; her brothers, Mel Valenzuela and wife, Mary; and Ray Valenzuela; her sister, Bernice Valenzuela; and many other loving family members. A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 31, 2013 from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm at Daniels Family Funeral Services - Socorro Chapel, 309 Garfield St, Socorro. A prayer service will be on Friday, February 1, 2013 at 7:00 pm at the Magdalena Community Church and the funeral services will be on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at 10:00 am also at the Magdalena Community Church with Rev. Ernest Torres and Rev. Tony Benavidez officiating. Interment will be held in the Magdalena Cemetery.
