Eugene “Bud” Bradley, 86, died at home on August 30, 2017 surrounded by his loving family.
Eugene was born November 24, 1930 in Onava, N.M. to Dennis R. Bradley and Nora E. Sells.
He was married on June 15, 1956 to Doris Elaine Beasey, who survives. Also surviving are one son, Wayne Eugene Bradley, Corrales, N.M.; 3 daughters, Cheryl Ann Leonard, Rio Rancho, N.M., Karen Denise Wilson, Rio Rancho, N.M., and Joanne Marie Suttle, Roswell, N.M.; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Eugene and Doris were married for 61 years. They enjoyed a close and loving relationship. Never far from one another, they supported each other through the ups and downs of life. They were companions to the very end.
Eugene was a kind and loving husband, father & grandfather who was always concerned for the wellbeing and safety of his family. He was constantly watching out for his loved ones and was always willing to drop everything to help one of them.
Eugene did many different things to earn a living throughout his lifetime including truck driving and working in a Chrysler manufacturing plant in Newcastle, I.N. His main passion and love though, was for cars. He was an amazing auto mechanic who repaired innumerable cars, as well as the church bus.
Eugene also loved being outdoors caring for the family property. He worked tirelessly to keep the weeds chopped, the lawns watered and the animals fed and watered. Up until the last week of his life, he wanted to know who was taking care of the animals.
While Eugene will be dearly missed, we know that he is in a better place.
“We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.”
