Eva Purser went to her eternal rest on Wednesday December 27th, 2023 at Life Spire Assisted Living in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Eva was the first of nine children, and the daughter of Pedro Lopez & Albinita Martinez. Eva was born in Canjilon, New Mexico and graduated from Espanola High School in 1956. Eva married Benigno Roybal in 1958, resided in Pojoaque, NM and had three children with Benigno. Eva and Benigno divorced in 1984. Eva married Fred “Dick” Purser in 1995, and they resided in White Rock, NM until health issues required them to move to Albuquerque in 2018. Dick died of natural causes later that year.
Eva worked at Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) and became an executive administrative assistant at LANL prior to retiring. She was an avid seamstress and quilter. In her younger years she enjoyed camping and fishing throughout northern New Mexico and southern Colorado.
Eva was preceded in death by her husband Dick Purser, and her first husband Benigno Roybal. She was also preceded in death by her brothers Alcadio, Leroy, Jose, Ernesto, and Pedro Jr. “Pete”. She is survived by her children; Lyle (Mary) Roybal of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Alric (Cordy) Roybal of Albuquerque, NM, and Roberta (Javon) Evanoff of Albuquerque, NM, 12 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters Amelia (Lib) Quintana, Patsy (Larry, deceased) Clark, and Irene (Rheeta) Lopez-Saulsberry.
In following Eva’s wishes, there will be no service or memorial, but the family requests a prayer be said in her name.
