69, passed away at her home, on Wednesday, November 12, 2014. She was born in Silver City, NM on June 29, 1945 to Leopoldo and Ila Jean (Elgin) Pineda. She was a life long resident of Socorro. She served as Deputy clerk of Socorro County for many many years and also served as the County Clerk from 1989-1992. Evelyn enjoyed cooking and a wonderful cook she was. She would often volunteer to cook for different occasions and events around the community. She belonged to the Ladies Auxiliary of the DAV. Evelyn loved the Oakland Raiders and was crazy about Elvis. One of her greatest hobbies was collecting Elvis memorabilia. More than anything else, Evelyn loved to be with her family and friends. She adored her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and her nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, John Pineda; and her husbands, Michael S. Sarracino; and Seferino A. Esquivel. Evelyn  is survived by her devoted children, Mike Sarracino and wife, Clair; Manuel P. Sarracino Sr. and wife, Coral; and step daughter, Jouquetta Byrd and husband, Ryan; her brother, Leopoldo "Polo" Pineda and wife, Sylvia; her sister in law, Gina Pineda; nieces, Hillary and Heather; nephews, Jeff and Jon Jon; her dear friends, Lupe Vega; and Jackie Major; and many other loving relatives and friends. Grandma "Dingy", will be greatly missed by her loving grandchildren, Melissa and husband, Chad; Michael; Manuel P. Jr. and wife, Holly; Chantil; Andre;  Alexis; Justin; and Christopher; her great grandchildren, Addison; Chloe; and Camden; and her beloved dog, "Snookie". A Celebration of Evelyn's life will be held on Monday, November 17, 2014, with the Holy Rosary being recited at 6:00 pm by Deacon Nick Keller at the Daniels Family Funeral Services - Socorro Chapel, 309 Garfield St, Socorro. The graveside service will take place in the Abeyta's Cemetery with Deacon Felix Barela on Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at 10:00 am.
