Emswiler, Everett F. Age 91, a resident of Albuquerque for 61 years, passed away June 9, 2014. He was born in Loveland, IA to William and Verdie (Minnick) Emswiler on April 8, 1923. He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathryn �Kay� (Schaber) Emswiler; son, Rodney Emswiler. Besides being a loving father and devoted husband he was an older and younger brother to 9 brothers and sisters. He is survived by his two sisters, Faye Haines and Lulu Belt and husband, Bud, all of Iowa; sister-in-law, Linda (Schaber) Polsley and husband, Jim, of Omaha, NE; three daughters and son's-in-law, Kerry Bratcher and husband Ted, Debbie Mann and husband John, Denise Griffin and husband Thomas; grandchildren, Dan Dillon, Wayne Dillon, Brian Dillon-Erickson and husband Stephen Dillon-Erickson all of Phoenix, AZ, Jocelyn and Kevin Emswiler, Jason and wife Page; two great-grandchildren, Keegan Mann and Erynne Mann, all of Albuquerque; many nieces and nephews throughout the US. Everett and Kay moved to Albuquerque in 1953 at which time they purchased and operated the Tic Toc Caf� on the corner of 4th Street and Lomas for nearly 40 years before retiring in 1992. He served in the Army and was a Veteran of WWII. In his early years he was active in the Bernalillo County Sheriff�s Posse, as well as the Elks Lodge 461. For many years he catered the annual Labor Day Ballut Abyad Shriner�s Mounted Patrol gathering in Jemez Springs. A Graveside Service will be held at 10:30 am, June 21, 2014 at Vista Verde Memorial Park, 4310 Sara Road SE, Rio Rancho, NM.
