Age 77, passed away Wednesday, October 15, 2014 in Rio Rancho, NM. She was born July 9, 1937 in Riga, Latvia and immigrated to the United States in 1943. She graduated from Eastside High School, Paterson, NJ. She was employed as a hotel auditor for 15 years. She enjoyed gardening, hiking, traveling, crafts, cooking, and participated in the Meadowlark walking and hiking club. She was preceded in death by her parents, Raimundis and Eugenia Krastins. She is survived by her loving family: husband of 54 years, John Korteling of Rio Rancho; daughters, Tracy Jordan of Rio Rancho, and Holly Korteling of Butler, NJ. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. A Memorial Visitation will be held Saturday, October 25, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Daniels Family Funeral Services, 2400 Southern Blvd SE, Rio Rancho, NM. A Memorial Service will follow at 5:00 p.m. at Daniels Family Funeral Services, 2400 Southern Blvd SE, Rio Rancho, NM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to The Retreat, 4075 Jackie Rd SE, Rio Rancho, NM 87124.
