Felice "Phil" Pizzo

Felice “Phil” Pizzo died peacefully in Rio Rancho, New Mexico on November 25, 2020 at the age of 98.

Phil was born on February 6, 1922 in Brooklyn, New York to Giuseppe & Rosina (Nappo) Pizzo. He married the love of his life, Lena Auriemma on April 27, 1946 in Brooklyn, New York. They were married for 74 beautiful years.

Phil is a veteran of WWII, where he was part of the Navy as a Pharmacist Mate – 2nd Class for 3 years.

He retired with the New York City Department of Sanitation where he worked for 20 years. He was a charter member of the Knight of Columbus #6696 4th degree and a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Church.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Lena Pizzo of Rio Rancho, New Mexico; his son, Rev. Philip J. Pizzo of Douglaston, New York, his daughter, Rose Mary Pizzo of Rio Rancho, New Mexico; his granddaughter Katie Esterly and her boyfriend, John Marciante of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, his great granddaughters, Riley Rose Esterly and Addison Grace Esterly of Rio Rancho, New Mexico., and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his brothers, Joseph (Jean) Pizzo, Vincent (Jane) Pizzo, Pasquale (Carmela) Pizzo, Frank (Frances) Pizzo, George (Dorothy) Pizzo, and his sister, Madeline (Domenick) Manzolillo.
