Felix M. Cordova, age 88, a resident of Rio Rancho, passed away Friday, October 21, 2016. Melaquias Felix was born April 22, 1928 in Magdalena, NM to Polinario and Aurora (Silva)
Cordova. Upon completion of high school, Felix entered the Army and served during WWII. Felix became a master carpenter working in construction and furniture making. He also enjoyed fishing in his spare time. He is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years, Nora E. (Chavez) Cordova; his children; Diana Miller of Albuquerque, Jan Carrillo and husband Dave of Tijeras, NM, Melvin Cordova and wife Manuela of Santa Fe; grandchildren, Melissa Leithman and husband Chris, Daniel Carrillo, Matthew Cordova, Kaitlin Cordova, Alex Moya, Spencer Moya and great grandson, Lucian. Felix was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Steve A. Miller in 2015.  Visitation will be Wednesday, October 26, 2016 from 6 pm until the time the Rosary is recited at 7 pm at Daniels Family Funeral Services - Sara Road Chapel, 4310 Sara Road & Meadowlark Lane SE. Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated 10:30 am, Thursday, October 27, 2016 at St Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 1502 Sara Road SE in Rio Rancho. Interment with military honors will follow at Vista Verde Memorial Park at 4310 Sara Road in Rio Rancho. Pallbearers will be Daniel Carrillo, Matthew Cordova, Chris Leithman, Alex Moya, John Paul Cordova and Gerald Cordova.
