Felix Komposch

Komposch, Felix Age 90 of Rio Rancho, NM peacefully closed his eyes for the final time on the afternoon of December 11, 2012 surrounded by family. Felix is preceded in death by his wife Erna Komposch. He is survived by children Debbie Dench, Ron Komposch and wife Becky Komposch; grandchildren Christie Kelley and husband Ryan Kelley, Tiffany Hamp and husband Joshua Hamp, Richard Dench II, Joshua Komposch and Caroline Scripter; great-grandchildren Aidan and Peyton Kelley. Felix was born on January 14, 1922 in Grunbach, Austria to parents Josef and Katrina and sister Elvira. After surviving many hardships as a prisoner of war in Siberia, Russia during WWII, Felix and wife Erna escaped to Canada to begin their new lives together. They later moved to New York where they raised their two children. In 1979 Felix and his family moved to New Mexico and were long-time residents of Corrales and Rio Rancho. Felix was a strong, amazing man and will always be remembered for the Austrian cookies he would bring to his friends and family on a daily basis. He spent most of his free time taking drives up to the Jemez and visiting his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His passion for life and family will always be remembered.
