Tafoya, Fidel  Jr.
Age 68, passed away Thursday, July 27, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Socorro, NM on September 13, 1949 to Fidel R.Tafoya and Desideria Gonzales. He was raised in Magdalena, NM and graduated from Magdalena High School. He was employed with  Socorro County for 14 years. He then worked for the Forrest Service in the maintenance department for 7 years. He loved to hunt, visit with his family, and had a special place in his heart for his beloved dog, Chico. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Celso Tafoya, and niece, Antoinette Tafoya. Fidel is survived by his sisters, Sally (Howard) Giles, Margaret (David) Martinez; brothers, Carlos (Olivia) Tafoya, Richard (Ramona) Tafoya and Tom (Vickie) Bee; nieces, Veronica Benavidez, Kimberly Adam, Keona Zamora; nephews, Carlos Tafoya, Jr., Richard Tafoya, Jr., Luis Tafoya, Brian Tafoya, Daniel Tafoya, Joe Martinez and John Giles and many great-nieces and great-nephews. Rosary will be recited on Monday, July 31, 2017 at 7:00 PM at San Miguel Catholic Church. Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at 9:00 AM at San Miguel Catholic Church. Celebrant will be Father John Anasiudu. Burial will take place at Magdalena Cemetery following the service.
