Flora Maria Castillo

Castillo, Flora Maria Age 85, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, peacefully passed away at home with family and friends on Saturday, May 25, 2013. Flora grew up in Martinez town. She graduated from Albuquerque High School in 1947 and was married in 1948. Flora worked at GTE Lenkurt for many years. She was a very devoted mother to her special needs child, Barbara Ann Castillo. Flora has a strong faith in her religion and proud of being Catholic. Family and friends were comforted by her blessings as she stood by the door when you left her home. She was loved by many nieces and nephews and lots of wonderful friends and neighbors. She will be dearly missed. She is preceded in death by her parents, Tranquilino and Euginia Padilla; husband, Herman Castillo; sisters, Emma Lovato, Lucy Martinez and her twin Cecilia Armijo; brother Tony Padilla. Flora is survived by her daughters, Barbara Ann Castillo, Elizabeth (Liz) Castillo of Albuquerque, NM, son, Lawrence (Charlotte) Castillo of Albuquerque, son, Paul (Gloria) Castillo of Albuquerque, son, Charles (Nancy) Castillo of Albuquerque, son, Robert (Patty) Castillo of Albuquerque, Chiquita (beloved pet), brother, Eddie Padilla, sister, Isabel Kozlowski, brother, Eustacio Padilla; 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Rosary to be recited on Thursday, May 30, 2013, at 7:00 pm at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 5311 Phoenix Ave NE, Albuquerque. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 31, 2013, at 10:00 am at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 5311 Phoenix Ave NE, Albuquerque. Burial will take place at Mount Calvary Cemetery following service. Pallbearers will be Bryan Castillo, Jerome Castillo, Marcos Castillo, Gary Galbadon, Jose Gavaldon, Victor Gallegos, Daniel Flores. Honorary pallbearers are Christopher Castillo, Gabriel Castillo.
